How to read these NFL projections

EdgeRanked’s pregame model simulates each game and its players using the personnel and matchup information available when the simulation ran. Every game shows the time of its own simulation. A projection is an estimate made before kickoff; it is never a result, and a completed game keeps the pregame projection it had.

Official inactive lists are posted about 90 minutes before kickoff. When a projection does not yet incorporate them, the matchup says so. Quarterback, running back, receiving and defense outputs carry a limited-confidence label this early in the season; the label describes how settled a number is, not how accurate it will prove.
