How to read these NFL projections

EdgeRanked’s pregame model simulates each game and its players using the personnel and matchup information available when the simulation ran. Every game shows the time of its own simulation. A projection is an estimate made before kickoff; it is never a result, and a completed game keeps the pregame projection it had.

Projections are refreshed about 90 minutes before each kickoff, when official inactive lists are posted, and every matchup shows the time its projection was made. Quarterback, running back, receiving and defense outputs carry a limited-confidence label this early in the season; the label describes how settled a number is, not how accurate it will prove.
